Sergio Aguero Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has stepped up his training as he looks to make his return from a knee injury.Aguero has been out since early December with the problem, while fellow striker Edin Dzeko has also left City short of strikers as he struggles with a calf injury. However, Pellegrini confirmed last Friday that both Aguero and Dzeko are nearing a return to action later in January. And now Aguero has revealed that he is firmly on track to make a return this month.Aguero tweeted: “I wanted you to know I’ve already started field work. Slowly but surely I’ll be back at the right moment. Thanks for the wishes!”The 26-year-old, who has struck 19 goals in 21 games this season, is unlikely to return for Saturday’s trip to Everton. He instead looks set to make his comeback against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium the following week. And, should he come through that game, he is on course to play against Premier League leaders Chelsea in the crunch clash at Stamford Bridge on January 31. 1
