BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Preparations are underway ahead of the 30th Annual Bandera Family Christmas Dinner. “What that program is. So, that’s just a program we’re going to work together with, get the word out. Of course, those are donated but we’re going to let people know that they can help socking out cancer.” “We’re going to put socks here out for people who might need some and we’re going to explain to them Sock Out Cancer,” said Bill Bandera. The dinner has since become a fixture across the Southern Tier. Now, it is partnering with Sock Out Cancer. Since 1989, the Bandera Family has hosted a free meal for those who might not otherwise have one on Christmas Day. Free meals will be served on Christmas Day at American Legion Post 80 in Binghamton, Saint Ambrose Parish in Endicott and American Legion Post 189 in Norwich.
